About the artist

Hazem Sannib is a Syrian-born contemporary artist in London, who expresses his vision through vibrant and thought-provoking paintings.

He first started painting when he was just nine years old. As his technique improved, he began his first experiments of painting in oils at the age of seventeen under the tuition of Fared Georgeous in Homs, Syria, and soon after was chosen to exhibit his work as part of an exhibition in Syria & Kuwait.

In 2006, he started experimenting with abstract themes and painting in acrylics under the guidance of a teacher in Norway, Mard Issa. This period would be extremely important for Sannib, who was beginning to explore humanitarian themes through his work and develop what would later become his signature style.
